Books by Mail--
 The Library Delivered to Your Door
 

 

Library books delivered to your home through the postal service if you live in Lehigh or Carbon County and are homebound due to:    

  • Advanced age

  • Physical disability

  • Transportation difficulty due to age or disability 

EASY TO JOIN

Call the library at 610-820-2400 and ask for BOOKS BY MAIL.  We will send you an application card to sign and mail back to the library.  Then we can start to send you books.

NO CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE

You can request a book by title, author or subject.  The book is mailed in a special bag that includes return postage.  As soon as you finish a book and send it back, we will send you another one.

CHOOSE A TITLE FROM A COLLECTION OF:
  • More than 2,500 books in large print
  • More than 3,000 books on cassette or CD
  • 50,000 regular print fiction books, including mysteries, romance, and intrigue
  • 200,000 nonfiction books on subjects ranging from travel to arts and crafts to religious inspiration and everything in between.

JUST A REMINDER:

If you have a library card, a computer with an Internet connection and a portable listening device, you can download audiobooks right from home.  Click here for more information on this program.
