Why can't I get into the library's homepage/databases from home?

1. You may have typed in the website URL directly or used your
browser's bookmark to reach the site.  Always use the links from the APL webpage rather than connecting directly to the site or using a bookmark.

2. Your browser security or privacy settings may be set too high to allow information to pass through.  Try resetting your browser to its default settings.
             
3. A personal firewall or proxy server may be blocking the site.  Check the settings of each of these and add an exception to allow the URL you are trying to reach to pass through.
             
4. Anti-spyware, anti-adware, anti-virus or pop-up blocking software running on your computer may not allow information to be passed to the website.  Check the settings on these programs.

5. Some of the library's subscriptions are available in the library only.  This is noted in each link.  You will not be able to reach these websites from home.
