Finding Tax Forms:
a Pathfinder and Internet Guide

Finding tax information can strain everyone's patience and ability.  The library has a wide array of material to help the individual taxpayer in the annual struggle.  Following is a guide to forms and tax aids available at the Allentown Public Library.

Forms and Instructions on the Internet
Federal and most state tax forms, instructions, and booklets for individual taxpayers may be viewed and reproduced on the Net.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is required for viewing most tax information; it is already installed on Library computers, please do not try to reinstall it.

Forms and Instructions in the Library
The library provides the most commonly used Pennsylvania and federal forms and instructions.  These forms are supplied by the IRS and the PA Revenue Department.  They are located on the tax table next to the 12th Street windows on the first floor of the Main Library. The library also has a supply of Allentown city forms which must be requested at the Reference Desk.

The Library also provides reproducible forms of all individual federal forms; the library does not provide employer forms.  These volumes of reproducible forms are also located next to the 12th windows on the first floor.  Copies can be made for 10¢ per page.

A multi-volume set of publications furnished by the IRS is available for use in the library.  One set of these publications is located on the tax table; a second set is available for use at the Reference Desk.
