Wow! Did you know about this one before? Test drive a story for yourself and see if you think your kids will enjoy it.
Storyline Online is a Literacy Program of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation where stories are brought to life by top actors including some Academy Award winners.
Kids often enjoy hearing their favorite stories read by famous people. When children are too young to know these people for their celebrity, but the characters are brought to life with voice and intonation, and the visual sets are matched to the stories told, the children stay engaged.
After the stories are read, there are activities available for teachers and parents to help to reinforce what children have heard and seen.
The programs are free subsisting only on donations, and the StoryLine Online site runs without ads. Perhaps the most exciting update is that for the first time beginning in April 2020, Storyline Online offers Zombies, which will be read in both English and Spanish.
