General Storytime information:
Children must register in advance. You may sign-up in person or by phone: 610-820-2400 x. 4. In order to sign-up, the child's parent/guardian must have a valid Allentown Public Library card. Please register for one session only: Babies from birth to age two (lapsit), two-year olds (time for twos), 3-5 year olds (pre-school storytime), and families with young children (family storytime), . There is also a program for elementary age children (grades K-3) which will begin October 3rd.

"Storytime" is a weekly half hour program of picture books, songs, fingerplays, rhymes and other activities, designed to introduce your 3-5 year old child to the library and the world of stories. Children of parents who have an Allentown Public Library card are eligible. The child must be 3 by the first session, and not enrolled in kindergarten. Parents are asked to remain in the library during the program, but do not sit with the children.
Wednesdays: 10:00-10:30 AM
Thursdays: 2:00 – 2:30 PM
This series of half hour programs is for two-year-olds. Children must be 2 years old by the beginning of the sessions. Each child is accompanied by an adult who sits with the child. Siblings may not attend. The program features puppets, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and short picture books.
Fridays: 10:15 - 10:45 AM
This is a program for children from birth to age 2 and their caregivers. It is a fun opportunity to prepare your child for literacy and welcome them to the library. We will read books, sing songs, and do fingerplays while your child feels snug and secure on your lap.
Thursdays: 10:00-10:30 AM
Includes stories, songs, rhymes and activities for families with young children to enjoy together! Registration suggested, but walk-in participation accepted.
Wednesday 6:30 - 7:00 PM:
K-3 BOOK BUNCH
This is a program for elementary age children in grades K through 3rd grade. Each week will feature a different theme and craft. Registration is now open! Book Bunch will begin October 3rd!
