Summer Resources for Parents and Caregivers
Need a new source for printable activities or book lists to keep young minds healthy this summer?
The website www.123Homeschool4Me.com is a valuable resource with over one million downloadable activities from the alphabet, to math and science, geography and time telling, book report forms, mazes and much more.
While the site name broadcasts its function as one geared toward educating kids in a homeschool setting, the worksheets and games available for children from Pre-K to 8th grade are easy to download and print which anyone can use.
Reading book lists divided into grade level categories for K-5 offer the opportunity to let your kids choose books they’d like to read. And, you can call the Allentown Public Library’s Children’s Services department who can help you find age appropriate books that will keep them engaged.
The library building reopened to the public on June 29, 2020 with social distancing guidelines in place. Patrons entering the building must wear a mask. If you are more comfortable choosing materials at a distance you can call ahead to order books, or place holds online to pick-up at the drive through window. To protect everyone, ALL returned books and other materials must go in the outside book drop for quarantine.
