Teen Readers, Grades 6* and up:  You must have an Allentown Public Library card and be in good standing with the library (i.e. owe no fines or library materials).  If you do owe fines you may “pay” them off by participating in Readers at Work. 

All Teen Readers need to do is check out library books and read them, fill out the Teens Read! form, and drop the form into the drawing box weekly to enter to win a prize (unknown at this time). Two people win each week of the Summer Program. Names will be drawn Mondays (before the library opens), beginning June 16^th. Final drawing for weekly prizes and the grand prize surprise pack will be held August 17^th. Entries to qualify must be submitted by Friday, August 15^th. To become an entrant for the Teen Readers grand prize, you must submit at least one eligible** Teens Read! form. Be sure to get your teen programs schedule from Library staff. 
 

*6^th Graders (students going into grade 7 in fall 2008) may either join the Independent Readers Club or Teen Readers.  Older students may only join the Teen Readers. Readers who have completed the 12^th grade are NOT eligible to join.  
 

**Eligible means books are on your reading level, from either the Young Adult or Main library collections, with a minimum of 100 pages.  Some children’s collection books will also be considered eligible.  If you are not sure, just ask!
