Last year, 20 years following the September 11, 2001 terror attacks, APL presented a poster exhibit from the 9-11 Memorial & Museum along with artwork graciously created by local artists. We displayed many of the books on the subject from our collection to commemorate the unprecedented day. 20 adult patrons, 9 men and 11 women, both English and Spanish speaking, recorded their recollections for our archives. While we’ve taken care to edit for brevity, some recollections may be painful to hear. Take time with us to remember the heroes and ordinary lives of those taken too soon.
