Teen Advisory Board
Teens – want to volunteer at the Library? Here’s how!
We are excited to reinstate the Teen Advisory Board (TAB)!
Scroll below to see TAB updates and how you can get involved! We are looking for Teens to join the TAB and volunteer at the library in a variety of ways. They include the Kickoff Color Carnival on June 7, STEM programs, Art programs, Nature programs, planning Young Adult events, Wicked/Wizard of Oz event July 12, craft prep, social media, book reviews, and more!
Next meeting: Friday, June 20 at 11 am. We’ll do some planning & prep for upcoming events. Please click on the slot in Sign Up Genius so we know who is coming. See you soon!
Please keep signing up via Sign Up Genius to volunteer throughout the summer!

June 7: Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the Color Carnival a success! We had over 140 people there, including 13 members of the Teen Advisory Board. TAB members helped with greeting, games, art, face painting, snacks, and generally making themselves useful. This was a big undertaking and we are very grateful to all your efforts! Thank you again!
We have a Glinda / Wizard of Oz / Wicked event coming up July 12 and an end-of-the-summer program August 9. Input and volunteers are welcome for those and other events!

May 17: We prepped for the carnival by walking the space and testing some of the activities and also cut boxes into cornhole games. We finished with snacks and tie-dying.
The shirts look great! Thank you to everyone who made their own and extras for other volunteers. This will be the “uniform” for the Carnival on June 7, from 12 – 3 and for other volunteer events. We are still looking for teens to help with games, art activities, face painting, and more! Visit the Sign Up Genius site (button below) to pick tasks.

May 3: 1st meeting. We talked about the role of the Board and jumped right into planning some activities.
If you would like to participate, please first register for the board here and then go into Sign Up Genius to pick volunteer opportunities all summer long.
